Hope for the Western World in Crisis?
There is hope in 2025.
In the year 2024, throughout the Western world, hard-working people made their voices heard and put their trust in the #RIGHT.
New political parties were forged: in the UK, the Right-wing ReformUK Party won four million votes and has gained 100,000 plus members; in the Netherlands, Geert Wilders helped to form an historically Right-wing government; Italy, Sweden, Austria, Finland, the Czech Republic, Germany have all seen the popularity of patriotic conservative parties rise, especially among the young.
Trump once again defied expectations and won the popular vote by a healthy margin, introducing a new world order.
Critics of gender ideology, who have been shunned for years, have seen their work pay off: puberty blockers are now banned in the UK and Governors in the USA are working to ban federal funding for transgender surgeries and continuing their advocacy for children’s safety apace.
People who have been betrayed or forgotten are rallying against the discursive strictures of woke-inflected neoliberal regimes. They are also sending a message to weak so-called “conservative” parties whose policies are indistinguishable from the quasi-socialist, anti-patriotic Left.
Make no mistake: the Western world is in the midst of several concurrent crises. But, thanks to the democratic mandates issued by the people in 2024, there is hope!
The critical issue underpinning this turn to the Right is immigration, an issue hitherto thrust into people’s public and private lives while simultaneously kept strictly outside of the realm of acceptable discussion and debate. Mass movement from the Islamic world into Europe has forced people with sanitized liberal views, inherited from media and education, to confront the problems of cultural incompatibility. In the States, Biden’s disastrous border policy has similarly become impossible to ignore. The fact that a new debate is shedding light onto the fault-lines of the American Right – H1-B visas for Indian nationals to work in the USA – is, at the risk of sounding trite, something to celebrate. The Overton Window has now widened to the extent that remigration is an unavoidable talking point for governments, no longer relegated to anonymous corners of the Internet.
While it is easy for any faction to be divided, as the Left has been for the last decade, we should pause and be grateful that this conversation is happening at the heart of the American government and in the biggest, freest public forum there is: Musk’s X.
Thanks to the continuing vibe shift we are now well-positioned to openly make the sensible case for scrupulous immigration policy and provide a robust critique of the pipe-dream of automatic cultural integration of migrants from the developing world. We can stand up for those who have been left behind in their own countries; we can lead the charge against managed decline and the “culture of mediocrity”, in the words of Vivek Ramaswamy, that entices States and businesses to outsource labor in the first place.
In 2025, we have the momentum and mandate to civilly and openly challenge the platitudes of civic nationalism which have motivated States to escalate immigration and enforce cultural relativism to deal with the fallout. Debate is not meant to drag on infinitely, but to test hypotheses and to increase the knowledge of the community. The telos of such a discursive process should be unity – as much of it as possible – on matters of existential importance. It is hoped that 2025 is the year that we resist contrarian factionalism and instead unite the Right around a combination of hard data and pragmatism. There is a level of confidence that governments like that of the UK, for instance, will soon no longer be able to keep data on crime and demographics hidden from view, thanks to the brave advocacy of newly-elected champions like ReformUK MP Rupert Lowe. But for this to happen, conservative voters and representatives cannot lose momentum.
Conservatives: you are emboldened. Now that anyone with anti-woke instincts can be confident that they side with the majority, we must continue to resist the loud minority which still inhabits mainstream bureaucratic, journalistic, and academic institutions.
There is also hope, amidst the chaos, for the future of Israel and for peace in the Middle East. Following PM Netanyahu’s failures leading up to Hamas’ genocidal attack on October 7th, he has followed up on his pledge to seek to destroy Hamas and to tackle the existential threat of the Iranian regime. As we go into the new year, Hezbollah and the Houthis – Iran’s major proxies – are in tatters. Thanks to Israel’s show of strength, there is cause for cautious optimism: the dismantling of Iran’s nuclear regime and the rekindling of the Abraham Accords may be on the horizon. While there is still serious work to be done towards dismantling the ideological stranglehold of Hamas on Gaza (and on the Western Left!) Israel stands firm. And while we cannot rule out the risk that Bashar Al-Assad’s fallen regime will precipitate the return of jihadist rule in Syria, there is hope that this year might be better than the last in the Middle East.
In 2024, we have been blessed to grow in a Christian faith as well as advocacy on real media. But there have been struggles: Like many of you, don’t be invulnerable to the dread that unremitting news of global conflicts and domestic strife can instil in the digital age. Faith, family, community, and open discourse with thoughtful and impassioned people are good shields against the nihilism that sometimes tempts us away from action. Friends, keep the faith!

This is what happens when instead of addressing their concerns you jam even more mass immigration, broken borders, social disorder, woke policies, gender madness, soft-on-crime policies, high taxes, regulation, and cultural chaos down their throats.
This is what happens when instead of treating your fellow citizens with respect you choose to berate them, spread innuendo & false unfounded propaganda against them once again, like you did in 2016, as “Nazis”, “fascists”, “MAGA extremists”, “insurrectionists”, “garbage”, and more.
This is what happens when the only people who refuse to acknowledge that most voters do not want to live in a world with open borders, mass migration, soft-on-crime policies, high taxes, restrictions on free speech, forever wars, and the sexualisation of our children happen to be the very people who control our institutions.
This is what happens when you allow our public, taxpayer-funded institutions, from universities to schools, to be hijacked and taken over by radical ideologues who use their power to impose a stifling, unscientific, and deeply divisive woke agenda on everybody else, including our families and children.
This is what happens when you use the legacy media, and the creative and cultural industries, to try and radically reframe the national story, telling ordinary people who love their nation that they should be ashamed and embarrassed of the very things that make them a people – their shared sense of history, identity, culture, and ways of life.
This is what happens when you ignore how the White, Hispanic, Latino, and African American working-class have been completely clobbered on two sides at the same time—by a rampant hyper-globalisation that saw global firms offshore jobs to exploit cheap migrant labour overseas, and by a radicalising elite class that simultaneously ushered into Western economies masses of cheap migrant labour through illegal and legal migration to satisfy their own sense of moral righteousness.
This is what happens, Democrats, Labour UK, European Union Org., and some EU member states when you endlessly persecute and prosecute a former president, stage a coup against an incumbent president, replace that president with somebody who has no public mandate, talk openly about changing the rules that govern the Supreme Court, use your friends in big tech to SUPPRESS FREE SPEACH, call anybody and everybody who dares voice a different opinion a “Nazi” and then wail endlessly about ‘threats to democracy’.
This is what happens when instead of recognising that THE TRUE SOURCE OF POWER, LEGITIMACY, AND AUTHORITY lies with the people you transfer these things away from the people below to unelected courts, judges, companies, supranational bodies, and the “expert” class, almost all of whom are utterly disconnected from ordinary people.
This is what happens when you treat normal people who are asking entirely legitimate questions about what is happening to their country, their home, like idiots, garbage, right-wingers dismissing their questions as “MISINFORMATION” and “disinformation” while hiding information from them and using biased experts to endorse only “officially approved narratives”.
This is what happens when instead of tolerating opinions, beliefs, and views you do not like you MAKE NO SECRET of the fact that you want to censor, restrict or shut down platforms that do give voice to the Forgotten Majority.
This is what happens, British conservatives, when instead of leaning into the political realignment that is STILL UNFOLDING across the Western world you TURN AWAY FROM IT, treating millions of working-class, non-graduate, and culturally conservative voters from the small towns and rural areas with complete and utter contempt and falsely imprisoning them to the point of forcing SUCIDE, while at the same time release serious criminals to make room for those sentenced to prison by a ruthlessly corrupt judiciary who have terrorist autocratic tendencies as their disgusting disguise.
And, ultimately, this is what happens when instead of learning from the lessons of 2016, from Trump 1, and the continuing rise of NATIONAL POPULISM across the West, you instead choose to double down on your side and say to hell with everybody else.

Google are updating their Terms of Service on 22 May 2024, so they wanted to let you know ahead of time.
These changes won’t affect the way that you use services, but they should help make it easier for you to understand what to expect from Google – and what Google expect from you – as you use their services.

What do I need to do?
- If you’re under the age required to manage your own Google Account:

What’s changing?

Referendum in Ireland March 2024: Confusion and Lack of Debate ahead of Major Constitution Votes & the Outcome.
People in the Republic of Ireland will vote on Friday 8 March 2024 on changes to the Irish constitution regarding (1) the make up of a family and (2) the role of women.
The referenda takes place on Friday – International Women’s Day.
The government’s ill-conceived ludicrous determination was to change the so-called ‘women in the home clause’ of the constitution.
However, the wording on the ballot papers of the two referendums raised very serious concerns over care, disability and taxation, which was obvious to all bar the government, via social media. The government choose to ignore the obvious & tried to bully their way through wrongly thinking that the majority sovereign would follow & agree their warped ideology, as they have demonstrated in other instances.
A lot has changed since the constitution was written in 1937.
Let’s take a look at what was proposed.
Question 1 – Bid to update the definition of ‘family’
The first proposed change is known as the Family Amendment.
The Irish Constitution currently offers legal protections to the family unit clearly binding the concept of family to the institution of marriage, a well tried & tested legal position requiring clear crucial assessment & examination before making a change. In not doing this the government were extremely flippant & dangerously lacking in jurisprudence.
The question basically asks whether the constitutional definition of family should be expanded – in practice meaning that family could also include, for instance, unmarried couples and single parent families. The majority traditionalist sovereign were more astute than the overpaid underworked politicians.
The question is a Yes or No vote on whether the State should recognise family units “founded on marriage or on other durable relationships”.

What do supporters of the change say?
Taoiseach (Irish prime minister) Leo Varadkar said there were about 1m people in families which are not based on marriage, such as those led by unmarried but co-habiting parents, single parents or grandparents.
Mr Varadkar added it was a necessary change to the constitution “because it puts an obligation on the State to strive to support” family care provided by everyone, not just married parents.
Speaking this week while canvassing for a Yes vote, the taoiseach Leo Varadkar said it was about recognising that all families were equal. Clearly Mr Varadkar was not speaking from a position of informed confirmed knowledge & relied on his own private desires & perceived perception of power.
What do opponents say?
Critics have argued that the term “durable relationship” is very unclear and could lead to unintended consequences.
Legal experts have warned that the failure to define this new term in the constitution may have implications for future family courts case, inheritance disputes, tax law and immigration cases.
Among them is Senator Michael McDowell, a barrister and law lecturer who has served terms as Tánaiste (deputy prime minister), Justice mMinister and Attorney General.
Barrister Brenda Power, Senator Michael McDowell, barrister Maria Steen, and barrister and TD Michael McNamara are advocating for two No votes.
“Everyone knows whether or not they are married,” he wrote in a recent opinion piece.
“Nobody knows who is or who is not in a ‘durable relationship’ unless a court decides in a disputed case that it is ‘durable’.
“Nobody knows how and when a “durable relationship” between two adults ends in the eyes of the law.”
He has described the proposals as rushed, reckless and said many voters were telling the media “that they simply do not know what the referendums are all about“.
Question 2 – Women’s roles and family carers
The second proposed change is known the Care Amendment.
It stemmed from a desire to update parts of the Irish Constitution which refer to the role of women within the family home.
The constitution currently says that mothers should not have to go out into the workplace to the neglect of their “duties in the home”.
The existing document also acknowledges that women’s “life within the home” is a source of support to the State which is necessary for the “common good”.
Voters will be asked whether those two articles, which some have argued are sexist and outdated & should be deleted.
A Yes vote would replace the two articles with new wording that recognises the value of the provision of care in the home “by members of a family”.
The replacement text would also add that the state “shall strive to support” the provision of that family-based care.
What do supporters of the care change say?
Yes campaigners have argued that legal language about a woman’s “life within the home” or a mother’s “duties within the home” are antiquated and have no place in modern Irish society.
“It was at the heart of cruel, discriminatory policies, such as the marriage bar, which forced women out of their careers once they got married,” said Orla O’Connor, director of the National Women’s Council.
“They had to curtail their dreams and ambitions and many are still facing inadequate pensions and income in older age because of it.”
Minister for Equality Roderic O’Gorman said during the announcement of the referendum: “A woman’s place is wherever she wants it to be, whether that is in the workforce, in education, or in the home.” The minister failed to elaborate on how he reached clarity on his announcement.
What do opponents say?
But the wording of the proposed change has angered disability activists who fear it would enshrine in the constitution the idea that caring is mainly the responsibility of family members.
They are rightly concerned about the phrasing that the state “shall strive to support” family members who provide care, insisting that the onus should instead be firmly on the State to look after all its citizens equally. There are already many cases where support by government is severely lacking. Most certainly looked like government wanted to copper-fasten an opt-out for the future.
“Nothing in the wording gives me confidence that this is about protecting the rights of disabled people and older people,” said No campaigner Ann Marie Flanagan.
“It is nothing to do with care, and it is nothing to do with women’s rights.”
Ann Marie Flanagan said the referendum was about protecting the State against its obligations to disabled people.
Instead she believes the proposal is a clear attempt by the State to “reduce its obligation to funding particular services”, as has already been done.
Ms Flanagan, who has been disabled since birth, is fiercely protective of her right to lead a full, independent life without having to rely on help from her family.
“I use a motorised wheelchair, I’m a personal assistant service user, so I have first-hand experience of what it’s like to need support,” she explained.
“I am married to my husband and we have an equal relationship, and we didn’t organise our relationship on the basis that he would become my ‘carer’.”
As a “direct response” to the referendum proposal, she co-founded a campaign group called Equality Not Care which is calling for a No vote on Friday.
When will we know the referendum result?
Counting is set to begin at 09:00 on Saturday 9 March at various count centres.
The referendum returning officer will receive all the individual constituency results and declare the overall national results in Dublin.
A result is expected at about lunchtime Saturday 9 March 2024.

The War in Ukraine – bye bye Putin’s Russia.

The recent dastardly illegal military attack perpetrated by the Russian Federation on the sovereign territory of Ukraine helps me recall some memories from the past.
Back in the times of the USSR Ireland had a USSR Legation, Ambassador & Embassy staff based in Dublin, Ireland.
At that time the Ambassador was prohibited from travelling outside the surrounds of basically the pale without the express permission of the Irish Government. He/she was obliged to apply & submit proposed itinerary to the Department of Foreign Affairs so that a special garda squad “red section” could afford discreet surveillance. Dishonesty & disrespect for the protocols were displayed by the Russian legation who would try to deceive authorities by sending out decoy vehicle/s. The surveillance personnel were wary & alert to such Russian deception & untrustworthiness & despite insufficient resources it’s doubtful the ambassador ever managed to succeed in loosing the surveillance tail. This resulted in the Ambassador being called in & reprimanded by the Department of Foreign Affairs on occasions.
Unlike most European Union countries, Ireland does not have what we would describe as a separate civil security & intelligence service akin to say what is legally provided for in the UK such as MI5 and MI6 and GCHQ. Similarly in France there exists DGSE and DGSI. Denmark is or was, in my time another country that operated similarly to Ireland.
An Garda Síochána (AGS) performed such duties and tasks to fill in for the functionality of a security/intelligence service in the state in order to securely communicate & liaise with friendly services & be part of bilateral & multilateral security clubs in order to collate & disseminate intelligence on national & international terrorism in particular in both directions & to keep the national police service & the government via the Minister for Justice duly appraised.
In the eighties attempts were made by AGS to government via the Minister for Justice to regularise & place the International Liaison Office (ILO) on an acceptably legal or regulatory footing with clear protocols as functionality with a legal basis. Despite monthly reminders no written acknowledgment or response was ever received up to the turn of the millennium.
After the reconstitution of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (Soviet Union) (USSR) when democratisation was attempted, author played a major part in setting up bilateral security/intelligence links with the Russian Federation. It worked well for both sides. How, or if it still exists is unknown at this time.
As a consequence of the obviously illegal war in Ukraine by the Russian Federation (RF), supported by the RF ambassador & legation staff in Dublin, would expect that at least the Ambassador & his key attaché’s are under close garda surveillance and have their travel in Ireland suitably and severely restricted.
Have always kept abreast of and a close interest in international affairs surrounding intelligence & security. Made many life-long friends in various parts of the world & always kept logical cognisance & alertness for the many unusual & questionable issues that have arisen in many quarters of our planet.
Find it astounding that Putin was ever accepted as a politician & afforded diplomacy by the leaders of what we might refer to as the free world. All those world leaders surely must have known through their security & intelligence services that Putin was a serious criminal with terrorist tendencies since he was deputy mayor of St. Petersburg. As deputy mayor he was investigated then by soviet authorities & an official order was made that he “should be dismissed from his office and no longer be appointed to public duty”.

Makes one wonder if some western leaders have engaged nefariously with Putin?
I’m adding below an article I penned in April 2021.
It’s what I put together on reflection & after some discussions with friends of what RF was doing in Ukraine since it’s initial attacks there in 2014. I already aired it in online comments in the Times & Sunday Times.
If the Kremlin is verifiably sponsoring an insurgency or military attack within the internationally recognised borders of the Ukraine with finance, armaments & its own military forces, as it appears now, then the West must respond with extreme punitive other measures, including sanctions against Putin’s Russia. The powers must be very careful not do another Arthur Neville Chamberlin type appeasement. Chamberlain has been subsequently castigated as a weakling (possibly true) in the face of German aggression (certainly true).
While these actions might not force Vladimir Putin to retreat in the foreseeable future, it would help to restrict his options for further action. It would also offer greater clarity to others dealing with Russia and the wider leadership of Russia, which must be fragmenting & will lead to another Russian Revolution.
Furthermore, it would remove any hint of Western geopolitical expediency suspected by many analysts, and it would offer greater predictability for the majority of the 45 million Ukrainians, 4.5 million Georgians and the 90 million others in the remaining ex-Soviet countries.
Putin already has a serious number of well trained sleeper military personnel in the aforementioned countries and also in many major western countries. His silence over recent years means he’s cooking more than just in the kitchen of his luxury bachelor pad!
Putin himself knows quite well he must rule the Russian Federation with an absolute iron fist & the utmost personal security least ‘they’ take the wobble out of his walk and get him. Life could be much shorter than expected. Navalny is not viable as an opposition leader but, there are others in the wings, every bit as ruthless as the wee puffy face-jobbed bear!
